City Guide iOS

iOS App template for my City Guide script

1. Create empty MySQL database with utf8_unicode_ci charset
2. Upload zip on server via cpanel file manager and extract directly on server
3. Open web server public url and configuration will appear.
4. Enter database name, username, password.
5. Click on "Save" and you will get login and links info (Please save this info because it's unique).

Install Xcode min 7.2, tested on v7.2

Install CocoaPods 0.39.0, tested on 0.39.0 (different version causing troubles)

If you already have CocoaPods installed you can check version with pod --version

to remove your current version you could just run:

sudo gem uninstall cocoapods

you can install a specific version of cocoa pods via the following command:

sudo gem install cocoapods -v 0.39.0

Extract archive

If available, remove this 3 files:

Open terminal.

With "cd" command, move to folder project

run:

pod install

example:

Open .xcworkspace file, Xcode will be runned (NOTICE: NOT .xcodeproj file)

Select virtual device and after that run:

Connect portal to app:

You should get Google API key, proccess is described here:

enter generated api key to ConfigObject above

Apple have lot of rectrictions when you try to upload.

1. One usual is that you should not have word like lite,demo,test etc anywhere in description or app.
2. Also lorem ipsum text anywhere in app, and your app will be rejected

And my suggestion if you decide to purchase by other hosting provider, please save your money/time and don’t buy from godaddy, goddady is good for domains but not for hosting because of many configuration limitations!
